Need to wrap some last minute doll presents or send a tiny Christmas card? Download this free 3 page printable for Barbie scale holiday wrapping paper, Christmas cards, gift tags and even a tiny letter to Santa!
I know this post is a bit late in December, but every year I try and get organised before Christmas takes over – I failed again! I tried to design a Barbie party dress pattern, but after the second attempt I gave up. Maybe I’ll try and fix it in the new year when I haven’t got lots to do for Christmas.
Anyway, I have been a bit distracted with Procreate on my iPad recently and have been learning how to draw cute characters and illustrations using the app. It’s been a fun distraction and I created several festive illustrations which I wanted to put to good use. I have used them on ‘real world’ size printable gift tags for my sister Blog – My Monday Makes but also wanted to downsize them for dolls. I love putting together Christmas doll photoshoots and so I decided to create some seamless patterns to use on Barbie scale holiday wrapping paper and cards.
To create my cute illustrations and seamless patterns I’ve used several Procreate brush sets and tutorials from the very talented Lisa Glanz, as well as following a short course ‘Children’s Illustrations with Procreate: Paint Magical Scenes’ by Lucy Fleming on Domestika. I’ve learnt a lot of new skills which I hope to develop more next year.
What you need:
